With COVID-19 making its way around the world, and people cancelling travel plans either to avoid possible quarantines, or understandably protect themselves or at risk groups they may transmit the disease to, I’ve been taking a break from posting much travel content.
••
It seems insane to post “Why You Should Visit Cairo” or “5 Days in Cartagena” when absolutely no one is looking for that information.
••
So I decided that for the rest of this month and probably most of April, I will be writing and posting a lot of content that is travel-related, but more along the lines of interesting stories, issues, and traditions around the world rather than “how-to” guides. For example, “The Real Legacy of Escobar in Colombia”, (his abandoned villa is pictured here) or “What It’s Like to Stay in a Japanese Ryokan”.
••
Hope you enjoy this next month of what I want to be fun and informative content! First post, regarding info and myths about coca in the Andes, goes up tomorrow!
