A lively and vibrant pedestrian walkway in Palm Springs, California, lined with towering palm trees and bustling with visitors. The iconic palm trees, with their characteristic tall trunks and feathery fronds, stretch up towards the evening sky, casting long shadows on the brick-paved path. Storefronts, restaurants, and galleries flank the walkway, their warm lights spilling out onto the scene and creating a welcoming ambiance. People can be seen strolling along the path, window-shopping, and enjoying the inviting atmosphere. Embedded in the brickwork are star-shaped plaques, honoring celebrities who have had connections to this desert oasis, a nod to the city's Hollywood ties.

This is Palm Springs, not Hollywood. So many stars from LA called Palm Springs home, that the city has a “Walk of Stars” of its own honoring the celebs (like the Rat Pack) that stayed in the area. •• Even though it’s just over 40,000 people, Palm Springs has a lot to do, which helped attract actors to build second homes there. It has a similar vibe to LA in terms of restaurants, galleries, and bars, but smaller and condensed into one walkable/bikeable downtown and surrounded by desert. •• What a wonderful place to get away from the big city but not lose the big city entertainment for a weekend.
