Celebrating my incredible female friends for #SanitySunday. Let’s spread some love today - tag a few ladies you feel lucky to have in your life below! •• I have met, lived with, forged bonds with, moved away from, still stayed incredibly close to, and been immensely thankful for these women in the last 12 years (two from the college group who couldn’t make it are tagged). I am exceedingly lucky to have them plus a lot more incredible women as friends in this life. •• It pains me to see female friendships often depicted as catty, backstabbing, fake bonds. Fights and issues exist, as they do in all friendships, but I don’t think anything can replace the support, love, and strength that exists in female friendships. There is always an extra layer of understanding with women, because we are dealing with problems through a similar lens. •• Conclusion: the sisterhood is strong and real. If you need proof, go cry in a women’s bathroom in a bar and see how long it takes for a random girl to come over with hugs and tissues. I guarantee, two minutes tops. . . . . .
