Closing out 2019. Decided against doing a “best of” retrospective because let’s be real, some moments really sucked. And they were just as important as the moments that were great. I can say I’m grateful for a lot of people who were there for both.
••
Because at the end, it’s all just an up and down roller coaster, and the only important thing is how we handle both sides of it. Do we deal with failures and disappointments in a healthy way, grieve them, learn from them, then choose to stay open and resilient? Or do we let every hit shut us down?
••
That’s why of the few resolutions I have for 2020, the most important is taking care of my physical health, mental health, and community.
••
If you’re not paying attention to one, the others can’t thrive. Staying resilient mentally, healthy physically, and creating strong bonds with people that care for you and help you rise up will change so much for the better in your life.
••
I am pretty happy and optimistic going into 2020. I know some things might go well and others might boomerang right in my face. But I know I’m going in the right direction. Not much else we can do, so keep going on the path that feels right. If you feel you’re off it, make the changes to get back on, even if they’re small and the goal feels far away.
••
Every moment we’re here breathing is a new chance. Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
