Augie’s little voice saying “wooow” as we rounded a corner on the trail and we could see the mountain for the first time, and as the moon rose him shouting “moon” is one of the best things I’ve ever experienced and it makes it all worth it. I never thought I could enjoy nature more than I already do, until I got to share it with him, share these moments with him. He has a joy and love for nature that rivals my own and although he may not remember these early moments clearly as he grows up, each and every one of them is worth it to see that smile on his face... we did this 6.4-mile round trip hike with 1400ft of elevation gain last Friday evening, and I’m thinking if I get in a bit more training this summer, and plan it out properly, we can tackle our first summit before he turns two years old and I turn 26, the former being a bit more impressive😅 I cannot wait to see where we will go next😍🏔🏕🛶I’ll be posting some highlights from this weekend to my stories this evening or tomorrow, it was a fun but a very busy one! I hope everyone stayed safe and had a good weekend, whatever you got up to!✌🏻
