How I Started an Itinerary Planning Service for Travel Bloggers
How I launched a paid itinerary planning service ✈️
One of the most logical services travel bloggers can offer is itinerary planning—though there are some things I’ve learned along the way that I wish I knew sooner. I’ll share those below! ⬇️

✳️ Be clear on your sales page. What exactly do people get when they book with you? When can they expect to receive their itinerary? What makes your itineraries unique? These are all questions you’ll want to address.
✳️ Be careful about booking for people. This comes with added liability—especially if you accidentally book something wrong.
✳️ Determine how you’ll protect your business. I’m not a lawyer, but a few things I’ve done are setting myself up as a business (I’m an S Corp), having a T&C page clients must agree to at checkout, and having a disclaimer at the top of my itineraries.
✳️ Don’t undersell yourself. Creating itineraries will take more time than you think it will. Make sure to compensate yourself accordingly.
✳️ Position yourself as an expert. Along with strategic promotion, what really helped me increase my bookings was focusing only on my home city of New York. Because of my content, people know I’m an NYC local, licensed tour guide, and expert—which means people seek out my expertise for their trips (and are willing to pay more).
