Epic Mountain Passes of Kyrgyzstan

Epic mountain passes of Kyrgyzstan 😍 One major highlight of Kyrgyzstan is all of the mountain passes you’ll inevitably visit when hiking or driving through the country. 🏔️ You can swipe right 👉 to see some of my favorite mountain pass views, including (in order) ⬇️ ✨Moldo Ashuu Pass. I visited this stunning mountain pass at 10,977 feet while driving from Song Kol Lake to Kazarman Village. ✨Kosh Moinok Pass. While a difficult hike is required, you'll forget your pain as you gaze south toward the Pamir Mountains and north toward the Alay Mountains from 10,352 feet. ✨Sary Mogol Pass. While getting to this pass was extremely strenuous, the snowy view from 14,118 feet was one of my favorites of the trip. ✨Sarybell Pass. Reaching this pass at 10,276 feet requires a moderate hike, and you’ll be rewarded with views of the Pamir and Alay Mountain ranges at once. ✨Taldyk Pass. Located along the scenic Pamir Highway, you’ll take in views from 11,860 feet and see how the road winds above the valley with tremendous drops. ✨Traveler’s Pass. Okay, so while I did part of the hike to this 13,616-foot pass from Tulpar Lake, the trail eventually became covered in snow and ice, so I switched to the Kyzyl Bel Trail which provided a similar view. ✨Kalmak Ashuu Pass. I visited this pass at 11,483 feet while driving from Bokonbaevo Village to Song Kol Lake. 🛑 Note: To visit these beautiful mountain passes, visit in the summer or fall when the trails and roads aren’t closed or hard to do. What is your favorite destination for stunning mountain views? 🌎 #JOAJKyrgyzstan
