The Beauty of Travel Blogging
"Wow! So you just sit on a beach, write and get paid?"

I get questions like this -- which anger me -- quite a lot. Travel blogging, while there are many perks, is a hard job. It's like being a small business owner with no staff, and having to be good at numerous skills. It takes learning, patience and work to be successful.

And while it is tough, it's also rewarding. Because for as many hours as I spend editing blog posts and scheduling social media in my "bat cave", I'm also regularly immersed in daily joys and life's pleasures.

Take this photo, for instance, snapped on the beach in Puerto Rico. THIS right here is why I do what I do. Why I put in the work to build my blog. Because while it is work, starting Jessie on a Journey was the best decision I've ever made. Being able to see the beauty in the world, landscapes and cultures first-hand is absolutely priceless.
