Jessie on a Journey
A springbok, a medium-sized antelope native to southern Africa, stands in the foreground amidst the arid desert landscape of Namibia's Skeleton Coast region. The springbok's reddish-brown coat and distinctive white face with dark markings around the eyes and black streaks on its sides make it instantly recognizable. The antelope is posed amongst sparse vegetation, with its head turned slightly to the side, as if alert to its surroundings. In the background, sandy hills and dunes stretch out under a clear blue sky, creating a stark and desolate yet hauntingly beautiful scene typical of Namibia's coastal deserts.

Springbok in Namibian Desert

I didn't even need to go to Etosha National Park to see wildlife in Namibia. While driving from Windhoek to Swakopmund to Brandberg to Opuwo to the Skeleton Coast I saw a variety of wildlife, from zebra to ostriches to giraffe to kudu. Even in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, I saw loads of baboons wandering the streets. Above we have a springbok, spotted while driving through the eery deserts of the remote Skeleton Coast. It was truly African beauty at its finest. What's your most exciting wildlife spotting while traveling?
