Jessie on a Journey
A breathtaking scenic view of a rural village nestled amidst lush green mountains in Bhutan. The village, known as Lobesa, is situated in the Punakha district and is renowned for its local temple dedicated to the Divine Madman, a revered Buddhist Master. The landscape features terraced rice fields meticulously carved into the rolling hills, creating a striking pattern of geometric shapes and vibrant earthy tones. The fields are interspersed with patches of golden-brown vegetation, adding depth and warmth to the scene. In the distance, majestic mountains rise majestically, their peaks capped with wispy clouds against a brilliant blue sky. Evergreen trees frame the composition, adding a sense of depth and natural beauty. The image captures the essence of Bhutan's commitment to preserving its natural environment, as mandated by its constitution to maintain at least 60% of the country's land area as forested.

Scenic Bhutan Village Among Lush Mountains

One of the best parts about visiting #Bhutan: the landscapes. Here I am looking out over Lobesa, a village in the district of Punakha that's known for its local temple dedicated to the Divine Madman, a Buddhist Master that would slay demons with his phallus. But back to the landscapes. It's written in Bhutan's constitution that the country must be covered in a minimum of 60% forest. Right now, it has about 72%, showing their dedication to nature and natural beauty. Where are the most amazing landscapes you've seen on your travels?
