Serene River Landscape in Milford, Pennsylvania

One of the main reasons to visit Milford, Pennsylvania is to see the beautiful Delaware River, the longest un-dammed river east of the Mississippi. From Hotel Fauchre it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to this ambient spot, where I access the 32-mile McDade Recreation Trail. Milford is easy to explore without a car, especially with all the nearby hiking trails -- the McDade connects most trails and attractions -- and the local Action Bikes renting cycles. These outdoor offerings aren't just scenic, they're part of the local culture: Milford dates back to 1733, when the Native Americans and first settlers made use of the lush local nature!
