One World Trade: Symbol of Resilience

A #view looking up the height of #OneWorldTrade, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere at 1,776 feet tall. It's crazy to think 9/11 was 14 years ago. I remember exactly where I was -- in high school Spanish -- and how terrified I was seeing my friends being called down to the office because either their parents/relatives worked in #Manhattan or their families just wanted them home as the chaos ensued. For me it is the most tragic day I've been alive for. It's important to remember all who lost their lives. It's also important to think about the brave souls who risked their lives for others and how #NewYork truly came together in community to help and lift this great city back up. If you're visiting the Memorial today make sure to also visit St. Paul's Chapel nearby. When the reverend went to the chapel the day after 9/11 to see what he could salvage and saw his church spire lifting toward the sky, still standing, he knew their purpose was to help. They housed workers and offered relief, and you can see exactly how and hear these stories in their museum and memorial inside.
