Jessie on a Journey
A winding railroad track hugs the shoreline of a large, tranquil lake surrounded by densely forested hills and mountains. The still waters perfectly mirror the cloudy sky above, creating a seamless reflection of the picturesque scenery. The railroad track seems to extend outward onto the lake's surface, with the rocky shoreline and verdant vegetation framing the serene vista. This image captures a breathtaking natural landscape with a touch of human infrastructure, offering a harmonious blend of nature's beauty and engineering marvels.

New Croton Dam Trail: NYC Escape with Scenic Lake Views

The New Croton Dam in Croton-on-Hudson is an easy #NYC day or weekend trip -- only 22 miles away -- offering a beautiful park and a trail that ends on top of the dam bridge at 297 feet (91 meters) high. This is just one of the beautiful views I took in, the clouds perfectly mirrored on the #water. Fun fact: When the New Croton Dam opened in 1906 it was considered the tallest dam in the world. #Wow! Tip: for the best lobster roll of your life head to the nearby Justin Thyme Cafe.
