Magnificent Frigatebird's Courtship Display in Galapagos

North Seymour Island is a true birding paradise in the Galapagos, though we saw loads of sea lions and marine iguanas there, as well. (#ad) 🦅 Each of these animals has a unique story to tell. Such as the Magnificent Frigate -- yes that is its real name -- with its red balloon throat. 🎈 The males puff out their throats to attract a mate; the bigger the balloon the better. After mating, the female uses the balloon as a pillow to rest her head on. ❤️ I'll be sharing more interesting facts and stories from the Galapagos Islands over the next few weeks.
