Benefits of Solo Travel

One reason to travel solo in 2018: it's good for your mental health. 💆 ___ Now, I'm saying this based on experience, not scientific data. But honestly, whenever I need to get away from life's chaos and really remember my purpose, there's no better antidote. And because I don't need to negotiate my itinerary with anyone, I'm really able to use every moment in a valuable way. That might mean sleeping until 11am and then enjoying a relaxing day doing "nothing" in a coffee shop, or that might mean waking up at 6am for a sunrise hike. Or, that could be booking an experience meant to help me grow, like my recent stay at an immersive Spanish school in Nicaragua. When I'm traveling solo, alone with my thoughts after a day of novel experiences, the mental clarity I feel is often much stronger than what I can typically get at home. ___ Hey, routines can be a beautiful thing; but sometimes, a break in that itinerary is just what we need to find ourselves again. And when that break is done solo, well, you really have the chance to grow your relationship with yourself and discover what you really need. ___ 🌎 Where will you go solo in 2018?
