Exploring Outside the 303
The image showcases the progression of a family's camping adventures over several summers. The first panel displays a small pop-up camper trailer, a '98 Coleman model, set up on a grassy area with trees in the background. The text overlay indicates it was their first rig, acquired in '08. The subsequent panels provide interior glimpses of the camper, including the cozy sleeping area and compact kitchen space. Additional panels showcase the family's second camper, a '07 Jayco Jay Feather 23BH hybrid trailer with a slide-out section, offering more space and amenities. The final camper depicted is their current rig, a larger travel trailer acquired in December 2018 after extensive searching, featuring real doors, a bunkhouse, a spacious bathroom, and a length of at least 30 feet, suitable for their transition to full-time RV living.

Progression of a Camping Family's RV Adventures

Its amazing what can change in almost 5 summers of camping. 🙃 We purchased our first rig, a '98 Coleman Pop-up on Craigslist. We used it for 1 summer and upgraded because we decided we wanted hard sides and a bathroom. We happened upon our second rig on craigslist again and drove 1.5 hours one way to look it over. We feel in love with the unique layout and that it was a hybrid with a slide. We bought the '07 Jayco Jay Feather 23BH and used it for 2 summers. We would still have "Little Jay" if we hadn't decided to go fulltime. Our current rig was purchased in Dec. 2018 after a 6 month search to find the right rig for us. Our requirements were real doors, a bunkhouse, large bathroom, at least 30 ft long. We spent all last summer in our rig after our house sold locally, before we officially started our fulltime adventure. As we are about to start our 5th summer of camping (even though we live fulltime in it), I can't help but get excited for new summer adventures and seeing so many campers on the road. Come on summer...we are ready!
