My Morning Routine: Finding Balance and Intention
Morning Routine ☕
Over the years my morning routine has morphed from not having one to being overly planned to now a happy medium. I recommend reading "The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod and "Girl , Stop Apologizing" by Rachel Hollis as these were both inspiration to solidify my routine 📚
Each morning I have time to myself to connect, visualize, and set intention for the day. It takes an hour to complete the book items and then I move my body for 30 minutes. I typically am up by 6 am during the week to make this happen. Weekends I sleep in but still do the routine.
Here is the routine:
🍵 Brew tea and sit in silence for 5 minutes as I wake up
📕 Read the Bible and do a devotional, I like to use the SOAP method
📘 @StartTodayJournal for gratitude journal and write 10 dreams I am pursing
📙 @PriorityPlanner to set my daily schedule and list my top 3 things to get done
📗 Read for 15-20 minutes - Currently I'm reading about being a great teacher
🏃♀️ Move my body for 30 minutes - I recently started back up running with the C25k app
I look forward to the morning routine and struggle if I miss it. Sometimes the kids wake up early and interrupt me but they snuggle up while I finish and we both win because we get extra cuddles.
