Budget-Friendly Family Travel Tips
✨Budget Travel: finding cheap flights!✨ When booking our trip from North Carolina to Oregon, we only paid $600 for the ENTIRE family to fly cross country! How did we find such a great deal?
✈️ We typically find the best deals on Frontier Airlines. Google Flights will list Frontier prices, but their actual website allows you to get even cheaper flights if you join their “Discount Den” program. Just a small annual fee, then you have access to lower prices AND flights where kids fly FREE (14 and under) ~ amazing!! We’ve noticed that usually those free flights are offered on Wednesdays.
✈️ You can also save money by letting the airline choose your seats, otherwise you pay a fee. We personally like to pick our seats for long flights, but let the airline choose for shorter ones. We have older kids so this works fine for us. They will usually try to get the family grouped together.
✈️ Another way to save is by NOT checking a bag! On Frontier Airlines, they only allow one personal item (no carry-on, just a purse or backpack) without a fee. If you really want to save like we do, then cram it all in a backpack ~ one per person!😉 It may sound impossible but it’s totally doable! We will make a video in the future, to show you how we fit it all😅
