Exploring Kartchner Caverns in Arizona

We made it to Arizona!!🎉 Does this look like the desert or what? It is a COMPLETE contrast from the places we just visited in Oregon… and we love it!🌵❤️ This scenery behind us is especially fascinating because inside those mountains ⛰⛰ are the most incredible caves! (No phones or cameras were allowed or else we would have shown you inside) Kartchner Caverns in Benson, AZ is an incredible underground world!😍 Through careful preservation it is still a living and contained ecosystem today, even with it being open to the public. On the tour we learned all about the stalactites and stalagmites, delicate straw formations, and even flowstone, nicknamed “cave bacon” ~ seriously they look like massive peices of bacon hanging😆🥓 The tour ended at the Kubla Khan, a formation that is 6 stories tall ~ truly amazing and definitely worth seeing if you are ever in Arizona!🤩 While on this adventure, my parents were celebrating their wedding anniversary (swipe to the last picture to see how cute they are🥰) We loved exploring this cool cave with them! ➡️Follow our adventures @eastcoast.blondies . . .
