5 Things NOT to Do When Visiting Europe (Part 3)
Here is Part 3 of what NOT to do when visiting Europe: (Save this for future travels!)
👞Underestimate walking distances: European cities are best explored on foot, but maps can be tricky. Expect to walk more than you think, and wear comfy shoes to avoid getting tired.
🚽Assume all toilets are free: Public restrooms aren’t always free in Europe. Be prepared to pay a small fee, and carry some coins for access, especially in busy tourist areas.
📣Be too loud in public places: In Europe, people usually keep their voices down in cafes, restaurants, and on public transport. Try to be quieter to blend in and not stand out as a noisy tourist.
🥘Skip local food for fast food: Don’t just stick to fast food chains because they’re familiar. Europe has amazing local dishes that change from place to place. Try something new—you might find a new favorite!
🏛️Only visit major cities: While Paris, Rome, and London are iconic, Europe has countless charming small towns and countryside spots that offer a more authentic experience. Don’t miss out on these hidden gems by sticking to just the big names.
