There is no denying that I fell in love with Central Park! It is crazy how much of a reprieve it is from all the city action. Here are some interesting facts
🗺 It is larger than the country of Monaco
🍁 Planning for the park was approved in 1853 making it the oldest park in the United States
👷♂️ All of the natural features are artificial including hills, woodlands, and lakes
❄️ The one thing that is natural is all the large boulders, they are leftovers from glaciers that melted 12,000 years ago
🎥 It has become one of the most popular filming locations in the world!
