Volunteering with Elephant Relief Project in Sri Lanka

VOLUNTEERING WITH AN ELEPHANT RELIEF PROJECT IN SRI LANKA 🐘🌿 Did you know Sri Lanka is home to 3000 elephants, and around 200 of these elephants are domesticated? These domesticated elephants work daily, with limited food and water 😢. They carry huge trees from inside the forest and are even used for elephant back riding.. I know, shocking! Have you ever imagined yourself volunteering to support the well-being of elephants? If yes, this is the project for you! You can find this opportunity on @worldpackers , a platform that helps you travel the world by collaborating with hosts and making a positive impact ✨. This was my second experience with @worldpackers and I couldn’t recommend this platform enough 🫶. Back to Sri Lanka… you’ll be hosted by the kindest soul, a local named Amara and his family, who are doing their very best to relieve elephants like Mali from the tourism industry. If you can’t visit/volunteer right now, but you’d still like to help, check out elephantcarerelief.com and make a donation to support their efforts. Every little bit helps! 🐘❤️ Have you visited Sri Lanka yet or is it on your list?? Follow wholistictraveler for more bucket list wholesome travel experiences! ✈️ ____
