Intimate Safari Moment in Tanzania's Tarangire National Park
Everyone knows the Serengeti, but have you heard of Tarangire National Park?
Tarangire National Park is slightly off the popular northern Tanzania Safari Circuit, making it a hidden gem that you must add to your list but shhh let’s keep it our secret!
Fun Fact: This park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Africa with several herds of up to 300 members per herd. Where are my elephant lovers? ❤️🐘❤️
Everything you need to know to visit Tarangire National Park (SAVE FOR LATER)!
GETTING THERE:
Fly into Kilamanjaro International Airport, you can pay for a visa on arrival to Tanzania but be sure to check in advance if that applies to your passport/where you’re traveling from! Also, be sure to bring your Yellow Fever vaccination card (they will ask for it)
After arriving to Kili International, you can spend a night in Arusha and either pay for a private driver OR take the local bus to Tarangire. We personally opted for the local bus because it was just $7 a person 🤗
WHERE TO STAY:
We stayed @nimaliafrica and I couldn’t recommend staying there more. It was perfect in every way 🥰
During our 3 days exploring Tarangire National Park, thanks to our incredible driver and a bit of luck, we saw tons of elephants, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, lions and a cheetah with her baby 😍
Hope this helps but as always, feel free to ask any questions in the comments below!
Have you been to Tanzania? If not, I hope my recent posts have convinced you to add this country to your bucket list!
