Guide for an Italian Summer Adventure
Have you ever lived through an Italian summer?
If yes, who is ready to go back?! If no, what are you waiting for?!
I spent the entire summer in Italy last year and do not regret a second of it. Endless beauty everywhere you look - from the mountains in the north to the crystal clear water in the south. A summer in Italy will not disappoint 🏖️.
Here are a few things I wish I knew beforehand, 📌SAVE this for your Italian summer adventure!
⛱️ Most beaches have rocks rather than sand, so investing in a good pair of water shoes / sandals will come in handy
🏞️ Don’t skip out on the north - there are turquoise blue lakes in the north of Italy such as Lago di Garda and the Dolomites are so lovely in the summertime
💰 It gets crowded and expensive, especially in the popular places, so go out and explore early in the morning, talk to your local @airbnb hosts and ask for recommendations from them (especially for where to eat - since I know how important food is to this community myself included 😅)
🍷 If you love wine, definitely go on a wine tour in Chianti, I highly recommend @lemiccine
🌿 My favorite *free* hot springs are Bagni San Filippo, go first thing in the morning before it gets crowded!
🏡 Splurging for a night or two at an agriturismo is not a bad idea! The views are breathtaking and I saw a sky full of shooting stars 🥹 @agriturismo.sole ☀️
🚗 Rent a car and explore so that you can get away from the popular spots and find hidden gems
