Cinque Terre Travel Guide
Cinque Terre Pocket Guide
Save this for later! 🙌
Cinque Terre is famously known for being 5 colorful fishing villages strung along the coastline of the rugged Italian Riviera 🌊
With so much to see and do there, I put this mini pocket guide together to help you make the most of your trip! (Seriously wish I had this before my first visit, the food places are actually recommended from a local - thank you @dbonfils92 😅!)
STAY
🏡 I personally recommend staying in one of the villages, but be mindful that it can get reallly loud, but other than that, it’s so fun to be in the center of it all. @madacharmapartmentsvernazza in Vernazza is my favorite place to stay within the five villages.
Alternatively, you can stay in La Spezia which is just one stop on the train from the first village, Riomaggiore.
EAT
Riomaggiore::
Riomaggiore::
🍕 Pizzeria Kepris - the best pizzeria
🐟 Enoteca Dau Cila & Rio Bistrot - great seafood restaurants
🍽️ Fuori Rotta - nice restaurant in general
Manarola::
🍴A Piè de Campu - makes a really amazing focaccia with different toppings, and the owner is also a sommelier, so she can recommend you nice wines to combine with it.
🦐 Cappun Magru - prepares a local seafood dish called Cappun Magru, which is a layered dish made of vegetables and different types of fish 🤤 and also offers take away sandwiches.
🍹Nessun Dorma - food, spritz and view. Say no more!!
DO
🥾You can actually hike from one village to the next which sounds so cool and I’m not sure why I never did it 🤷♀️ something worth looking into!
🌅 Sunset on the rocks in Riomaggiore
🌈 Viewpoints in Vernazza (there is one facing the front of the village and one facing the back, be sure to go to both)
🌊 Go to Monterosso al mare (the only village with a large beach area) + swim in the Ligurian sea
🍹Enjoy a spritz with a view of Manarola at Nessun Dorma
☀️ Relax + sunbathe in the harbor (Manarola and Vernazza are great for this)
Okay brb teleporting to Cinque Terre now 😅 Have you been? Or is it on your list? ⤵️
