7 Must-Visit Places in Costa Rica with Insider Tips
Which place would you visit first?!
| 7 places to visit in Costa Rica and since you liked the honest reflection so much, I’ll add a helpful tip for each place below 👇
📍NAUYACA WATERFALL. This waterfall is popular! Avoid going in the middle of the day if possible. It’s open daily from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM so either go first thing in the morning or wait until around 3 PM.
📍UVITA (Parque Nacional Marino Ballena) This place is stunning! Be sure to check the low tide time so you can walk out on the whale tail sandbar 😍 A wonderful coincidence is you can also go out on a boat and spot humpback whales from January - March and July - October 🐋
📍PARQUE NATIONAL MANUAL ANTONIO - a must visit but also VERY popular + crowded. Go first thing in the morning if you can, it opens at 7 AM and is closed on Tuesdays. Book your ticket online in advance!! I didn’t stay for sunset but it looks beautiful then too
📍PUERTO VIEJO- a gem on the Caribbean side, rent a bike for $7 a day and pay attention because you might be able to spot a sloth along the side of the road 🦥❤️
📍MISTICO HANGING BRIDGES - a really lovely experience, but you guessed it, very popular and crowded. Go first thing, they open at 6 AM😱
📍TABACON HOT SPRINGS - I have mixed feelings. I was told I must visit, so I had to check it out. But it’s $80 for a day pass and honestly, I would probably skip it next time and check out the free hot springs instead. However, it’s still very beautiful and worth it if you don’t mind splurging 🤑
📍DOMINICALITO BEACH - I loved it here, it’s quiet and felt safe for a solo female traveler. I took one of the best yoga classes of my life and loved the laid back, hippie vibe ✨
