Reid and I had fun exploring Honolulu’s Skyline for the first time! This fully autonomous metro system, stretching 11 miles and crafted by HART and @hitachi , seamlessly connected us to tourist spots, neighborhoods, and delicious eateries. The “HOLO” card made our journey hassle-free, offering 2.5-hour transfers and access to buses.
Knowing that our ride contributes to a sustainable future, as the Skyline aims to eliminate 40,000 car trips, made the experience even more fulfilling. We disembarked at Pouhala, Kalauao, and Halawa, all within a mile of charming local eateries. Riding the Skyline was more than a commute; it became a joyful commitment to Hawaii’s positive change.”
We hopped in, starting at Kualaka’i Station in Kapolei and ending at Halawa Station by the Aloha Stadium which took only 22 minutes! The Skyline’s comfort with Wi-Fi, AC, and dedicated bike spaces ensured a delightful experience. Plus, the elevated vantage point treated us to breathtaking island landscapes.
