Flew over to Maui to check out the newly opened beachfront restaurant, @huihuirestaurant located at @kbhmaui 🌴🍹Huihui serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with unique Hawaiian dishes that offers a balance of land and sea cuisine. Here are some dishes during the media event: ☕️ Chocolate Espresso Martini 🍹 Liliko’i Mojito 🐟 Island Fish Carpaccio 🥗 Lūhe’e Chopped Salad 🦌 Molokai Venison Poke 🦞 Seafood Huihui 🥩 Braised Pua’a Shank 🐠 Fish Lāwalu 🥩 Short Rib Lū’au 🍦 Banana Bread Ice Cream Sandwich The appetizers are great for sharing - chef Muromoto uses simple local ingredients but it’s filled with lots of delicious flavors! My favorite was the Island Fish Carpaccio and to my surprise, the Molokai Venison Poke too! Since I wouldn’t normally order venison. For the entree, I went with the Seafood Huihui which included an assortment of seafood such as fish, lobster, scallops, and shrimp. For every appetizer, you have a choice of hapa rice (brown and white rice) or garlic mash potatoes. I suggest trying the garlic mash! Another entree that I had a chance to try was ‘Ahi Mac & Cheese (not pictured) but that was a unique mix which I liked. Lastly, the desserts! Always save room for dessert - especially, the banana bread ice cream sandwich! 😋
