Streusel Candied Yams 🍠 ✨
I made this side dish for the first time and it’s way better than the usual candied yams I used to make. To be honest, I love anything with streusel topping 😅 and it’s the perfect addition to this dish! If you prefer it to be less sweet, skip the marshmallow!

For the filling:
• 2 lbs. sweet potatoes (mashed)
• 1/2 cup Maika’i organic light brown sugar
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter
• 1 tsp sea salt
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1/8 tsp nutmeg
• 2 eggs
For the streusel topping:
• 4 tbsp unsalted butter
• 2/3 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1 cup Maika’i pecan halves (chopped if preferred)
⏲ preheat oven to 350°F, mix the filling together, spread filling into the baking dish | mix streusel topping and sprinkle on top of filling | bake for 30-35 minutes
Optional: after baking, add marshmallow and broil on low for 2-3 minutes or until lightly brown.
