New restaurant alert in Waikiki 📍 @upstairshawaii ✨
Upstairs is a collaborative restaurant concept and sake bar. We attended the grand opening last night and was one of the first to taste some of their offerings along with popular dishes from Honolulu’s well-known Japanese restaurants, Sushi Sho and Hachibei.
🍱 Sushi Shi’a Bara Chirashi: assorted seafood of the day, sushi rice, soup
🍣 Hamachi Ponzu: yellowtail, ponzu, yuzu kosho, ships, olive oil
🥟 Fried Wonton: kauai shrimp, cilantro, ginger, chili, nuoc cham
🥔 Island Potato Salad: potato, kalua pork, ok farms tkg eggs
🥖 Falafel Sandwich: falafel, pickled daikon and carrot, pesto, sweet chili sauce, cilantro, toasted baguette
🍝 Rigatoni Carbonara: Parmesan, ok farm tkg eggs, pancetta
🍹Lady Lychee: lychee, watermelon, mint, simple syrup, soda (mocktail)
🌱Jade Garden: sake, basil, cucumber, lemongrass syrup, lemon
🥥 Coconut Pudding: pineapple coulis, chia, all natural coconut gelato, fruit, toasted coconut
