The CHILLS I had when I left @pictureline in Salt Lake City this weekend were crazy… this story just blew me away about the owner, especially since my own son is just a year older than he was in this story, and I’m one year younger than his mom was. So glad I came, I can’t wait to be back.
Cannot BELIEVE how different these turned out! 💻 A breakdown of our collab thanks to @lexarmemory 👇 We (@Kelsey J and myself) had a blast doing this photoshoot together, and it was so cool to compare our editing styles! Here’s what we did: 🐎 Kelsey gets over lifelong fear of horses by cuddling with two of them 📷 Vanessa snaps some natural light pics with her Canon EOS R6 II loaded with two @lexarmemory GOLD Series Professional 1800x 256GB Memory Cards 💻 Kelsey and Vanessa upload the files to their Lexar SSD drives, pick a fav and edit directly off their SSD drives on the go Kelsey’s major edit points: - Edited on Lexar SL500 Portable SSD - Edit on an SSD because it has faster editing speeds AND is significantly less likely to corrupt vs. a hard drive - Use the color calibration tool for color grading blue and orange tones - Add a bit of fade (via tone curve) and grain for a more vintage look - Subject select to adjust the tones of the subject (me!) and the horses separately Vanessa’s major edit points: - Edited on Lexar Professional SL600 Portable SSD - Edited on a portable SSD drive bc I’m always traveling and need my work on the go in a stable hard drive that can handle all the turbulence I do! - Bring up shadows to show dress detail - Drop out blues to create color consistency - Added a sunset because it was fun! - Still can’t decide between black and white or color 🤪 Which edit did you guys like better?! And how would you have edited this photo to match your photography style??
