Thoughts on Editing for Client Branding vs Personal Photos
OK, I have a new thought about this since the last time that I posted it and I want to know your thoughts.

Especially us photographers know how important branding is. If you have a commercial client, or branding client, you can’t expect them to change their brand to match your style of photography, can you?
When I work with commercial and branding clients I tell them that I’m going to edit everything to true color and then they are welcome to put filters on their photos to match the brand that they’re going for on their website and Instagram. Quite frankly, I don’t want to be in charge of editing their photos to match the brand that they so meticulously created. They’re already really good at that and know how to do it effectively.

But what about weddings and portraits? Consumers are usually not going for any type of brand consistency on their personal social media. Does it bother you when you see pictures edited on their social media? And what about Facetune? Again, I personally would rather not be in charge of face tuning the photos that they want edited in that manner. I’d rather be holding a camera and not a mouse or a phone.

What are your thoughts on it all?
