Don't Worry About Model Photo Credits

Actual DM I got today: Photog: Hi Vanessa...this particular model (name hidden) gives no credit to photographers....should photographers also start doing the same in response to such modela..What is your take on this? My reply: I’m going to be super blunt if that’s ok. If you have enough time to worry about ppl tagging you, you don’t have enough work, and your time would be better spent on figuring out why that is, changing it, and potentially focusing on marketing, networking and client experience. Not insinuating that you need those things of course. I just know that doing those things will better your business more than any tag from a model ever will - Now do I ask my couples and models to tag me in the description in the photo? Yes, of course I do. Does it sting a little bit when they don’t? Yeah, absolutely. At this point in my career am I ever going to make a big deal out of it? No. Have a regretted the times where I made a big deal about it in the past? You betcha. if I can give you any advice at all it would be to not worry about the little things like tags that’ll likely NOT make you as successful as focusing on your big picture and working at that. What are your thoughts?
