Appointed as Canon Explorer of Light

Remember that IG story a few months ago of me jumping up and down? And that story of me and @Salcincotta celebrating a secret something at Per Se? Well this is it. • Everything I have worked for and dreamed for and hoped for in my photography career has come to this. • I am an official @canonusa Explorer of Light!!! • Typing that is surreal. I remember the very first time I heard that phrase, Explorer of Light. It was at a trade show roughly 15 years ago. Someone was talking about @denisreggie and they said “he’s an Explorer of Light”. I didn’t know what that was exactly but I could feel just how grand, reverent and inspiring the title was. • Ever since then I knew that’s what I wanted to be. And I finally am exactly that. An EoL, an official ambassador of the Canon brand that’s been with me through my last 20 years in photography. Very few people have ever been given this title - I believe less than 60 photographers total out of millions of us in #teamcanon. I could not be more proud, ecstatic and absolutely floored to be one of them. • My hope is that one day someone identifies me as a Canon EoL and inspires the person listening to work and aspire to something as big and as unreachable as I once thought this was.
