Would you take your baby to Glastonbury Festival?! 🤩 #glastonburyfestival #thetravelmum #tiktokmums #glasto #12weeksold @thetravelmum
We have some great memories from visiting festivals with our son, naturally you’ll be anxious and questioning your sanity for even considering it - but with some good planning you’ll have an amazing time and be ready for anything! The practice run in the garden is great for working out what you need and what will be useful for making you all more comfortable. Key things to pack: 👕 Clothes for ALL weather. Imagine it’s 30C sunshine or torrential downpours - have it all ready. 🪭 A fan to keep them cool in the tent and out and about. 💡 Lights for the pram to make them easily seen at night. 🍼 Cold water sterilizing tablets and a container. We had a flask to boil water in the morning and use it to make a bottle up later in the day. ☀️ A sheet and pegs are priceless to pin between the pram and something else to make shade if you can’t find any. Wet flannels are great for cooling the baby down if it’s really hot. 🎧 Ear defenders to wear around any loud music.
Here’s how day 2 of Glastonbury festival went … 👀
Would you take your 4 year old to Glastonbury festival?! Here’s a sneak peek of what we got up to today 🤩 The main sets don’t start until tomorrow (Friday) so we spent today doing whatever Leo wanted to do! There is so much here for kids. We went to the seaside pier, played in both kidz fields, did crafts, spent a few hours at the circus and had a fantastic day! Everything is included in your ticket price. Leo is about to go to bed with his Nan and we’re going to go out out 👀🙌🏻🍻 I will update my insta story tomorrow with more details, where we ate, what we spent etc!
The price of the food though 🫣 This festival is not cheap. It is one of our favourite things we do each year so we take the hit, but we probably spent around £500 whilet there across our family of three, which honestly could have been a much worse.. We bring a stove, kettle, coffee and cereal to save money on breakfast. You can buy fresh milk on site. Bringing our own spirits saved a lot of money on alcoholic drinks. We brought a lot of snacks for Leo to keep him full longer and not demanding £6.50 smoothies 😅 Did you go this year?! What did you think of the food?!
Glastonbury festival with my 4 year old and some pensioners, day 3 😆🎉🙌🏻
So many of you say you’re nervous about the toilets at festivals… but should you be?! It depends. I have seen some absolute devastating scenes in the long drops, but sometimes you come across a decent one. The busier the area is, the worse they get. Look for toilets in the quieter areas, and if you’ve got kids head to wicket ground family camping for the best loos on site!
Replying to @sambroadhurst50 He didnt cry AND he knew what was going on 😯 He brought the vibes all weekend 😆🙌🏻
