Toddler Travel: The Joys of Family Vacations
Travelling with a Toddler is something I have never thought twice about doing, I love to travel, so I was always going to make sure he loved it too. But I know it makes a lot of people nervous... Anyone with a toddler knows that they are HARD WORK. But they don’t become harder work on holiday, it’s just the same old stuff but in a more fun and exciting place.
Today Leo had a strop because he wanted to push the pram, then stropped because he couldn’t push himself in the pram... he stropped because he wanted to go in the water, because he didn’t want to come out of the water, because he was hungry, because he wasn’t hungry. All of this will be familiar to any toddler parents - but just like at home, there are way more cute, funny moments that are the memories that stay with you.
Wherever you go you will find something they will love. Whether it be the beach, a pool, a little park like in the photo, the buttons in a lift... even the local pigeons (Leo has taken to calling them his little friends and is over joyed whenever he sees them!)
Travel is a lot less care free than it was when I travelled alone - but it’s 100% more enjoyable now I get to share it with my baby and see everything through his inquisitive and highly excitable eyes!
