Pregnancy After Infertility Journey

We started trying for our second thinking it would take a few months, maybe a year. Leo was conceived with zero issues so we assumed number two would be easy too. We were very wrong! Secondary infertility is common. All our tests are normal and no problems can be found , so it’s incredibly frustrating. To finally get pregnant after years of difficulty, and then lose the baby, was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. We almost didn’t do our final cycle. We were exhausted with it. It was our last remaining embryo, poor quality, our finances had taken a huge hit. But our consultant convinced us to give the last one a try. We transferred it expecting the usual disappointment. But it’s stuck! I’m now nearly 10 weeks pregnant and have had two normal scans so far. I still can’t believe it. Pregnancy after loss and infertility is HARD. That’s another discussion all together… If you’re on a similar journey I hope this can give you a little hope that you will get there, eventually, when it’s the right time. If you’d have told me in 2019 that I wouldn’t be pregnant until 2023 I wouldn’t have believed you. But now I can see everything is happening at the perfect time.
