Flying with a Toddler: Entertainment Ideas for the Journey

Have you ever flown with a three year old?! ✈️ We have travelled with Leo since he was a tiny baby, we have a couple of playlists over on TT with videos I have made about Baby Travel / Toddler Travel. The main difficulty we have at the moment is how quickly he gets bored with a single activity. The good thing is he now understands different games, so it is easy to occupy him with something quite simple and make it educational (not the case with a two year old who just wants to run riot 😅). Because we travel light, we also have to think about the size of things so they don’t take up too much room. ✨Magazines are great as they are filled with activities, get one with stickers which always go down well. ✨Stamps - great for being creative, challenge them to make a sequence, play “what comes next in the sequence” - get them to make shapes with the stamps etc ✨Pens/Crayons and a bit of paper ✨Threading games keep Leo occupied for a long time - good for dexterity, the letters and numbers can be used for spelling / counting. ✨Card games - “pairs” is always a winner with Leo. We also have some cards that aren’t shown in this video that allow him to trace over different letters and then wipe it off. ✨ iPad with pre loaded games / TV shows - the app in this video is @duolingo ABC - SO many of you have asked us about it over the years, a great educational app for travel.
