Affordable Tropical Getaway in Bali and the Gilis

• One of the great things about Bali and the Gilis is the cheap accommodation. We “splashed out” on this awesome self contained apartment with private pool for around £30/night. £15 each between the two of us is cheaper than most shared hostel rooms in Europe! Most of our accommodation on this trip has been around £10/night - £5 each. Some a lot less! One of my tips for travelling for so long is to book the cheapest room you can find (with decent reviews of course). As long as I have a bed and a bathroom available (and often a free breakfast!), that’s really all I need. If Joao wasn’t here I’d be staying in shared hostel rooms for even less! You can splash out on fancy hotels, nice villas, amazing resorts and it’s great to have some luxury here and there, but at the end of the day it’s just a place to lay down and sleep between exploring 🕵🏼‍♀️ • • • •
