Explore Mykonos' Hidden Beaches

The main town is beautiful, and the windmills are a must see - but thereโs so much more to Mykonos than the main tourist hot spots on the west coast. The island is pretty small with tonnes of amazing beaches. We rented a car for the day and were able to see so much of the island. (We paid โฌ30 for 24 hours - it was an absolute banger, it would stop working every now and again, made a loud noise as we drove and had no AC - but it did the job! ๐). This picture is of โLoulos Beachโ which was my favourite beach of the day. Itโs around a 19 minute drive from the main town and has a free car park at the top of some steps that lead down to the main part of the beach (swipe for the whole beach). The private coves to the west of the beach made this beach special. You just had to climb over a few rocks to have your own private area (we did it with a baby and lots of his stuff so itโs not too difficult) The sea was crystal clear and warm enough to swim in even during mid October. It only takes around half an hour to drive from one side of the island to the other, so we managed to see tonnes of beaches in just one day. Highly recommended if you have a spare day in Mykonos!
