Though we’ve specialized in wedding photography through our career, we’ve pivoted when necessary to serve our higher life goals. As our family expanded, Eileen began a newborn business to stay home more; I shoot headshots in our new studio. We learned how to split the workload as a husband-wife team to homeschool and raise our own kids. We travel as a family for personal projects and humanitarian work. We don’t mind going slow — it’s all about momentum, not racing to the grave! This was our process…. . @eileen_blume was a Starbucks barista and I was a high school teacher when we started our studio Blume Photography 9 years ago, on the rural edge of Athens-Clarke County. Doing business in a small town with one of the highest poverty rates in the US, we had zero ambitions for big success. Now we’re nothing but grateful for the unimagined places photography has taken us! . The outcome was unknown, but never unplanned. We implemented proven business principles and surrounded ourselves with smart people we could learn from. .
