Creating Glamorous Wedding Photos with Lighting Techniques
"Glamour" has somehow become a codeword for "boudoir" in the photo world. That's not how I see it.⠀ Did you know "glamour" actually comes from a word meaning "a magical spell" intended to make things appear more glorious than reality -- even heavenly?!⠀
You can easily create that heavenly or iconic "old Hollywood" look by understanding a few simple lighting techniques:⠀
1) Use directional light and "stop down" for a higher contrast light ratio. (It's not enough to add contrast in post -- that still leaves bright spots throughout the image, so the subject doesn't stand out.)⠀
2) More of my tips in the current "glamour" issue of #ShutterMagazine, where I dissect this images among others. Pick up your copy at any Barnes & Noble... and learn light at our upcoming classes at #wppi2017. See recent posts for how to register, and we'll see you in Vegas!..⠀
