DIY Boho Dresser Makeover

The first and only white piece we’ve ever done. We are both drawn to light, boho styled furniture, but for some reason we keep creating colorful or moody pieces (lots of greens lately). So we set out to finally do a boho styled piece that’s super on trend right now. There were 2 new techniques we wanted to try- bleaching wood and stenciling. After lots of sanding, my mom bleached the drawers, then I stenciled the pattern on them, and we finished by using a white wax over the drawers and handles (which we salvaged from a different piece). The stenciling was such an easy and fun way to subtly adorn a simple dresser.⠀ ⠀ We purchased this dresser for $20 on OfferUp, spent $32 in materials, and sold her for $325 on FB Marketplace in 6 days. $273 profit! We’re so happy with how she turned out. Would you put this piece in your home?⠀ ⠀
