Reclaiming Wonders
A young child with long blonde hair is intensely focused on an artistic activity, carefully applying paint or drawing implements to what appears to be a large painting or canvas. The canvas features bold colors and abstract shapes, suggesting an artistic style akin to Cubism or Expressionism. Various containers of paint and art supplies are spread out on the surface before the child, indicating an immersive creative process. The child's proximity and engagement with the artwork convey a sense of passion and absorption in the artistic endeavor.

Young Artist's Museum Adventure

I got to spend several hours this afternoon for one on one time with Meg at the Museum of Fine Arts walking around admiring the classics. And even following the docent through still life paintings for an hour. We finished up learning about tempera paint and old painting techniques. I have a museum buddy, and I look forward to many more museum adventures to come. Award for youngest museum goer today! Saturday fun time cementing old terms and adding cubism and pointillism and comparisons of Cezanne and Picasso. Isn't that how all nine years have fun? Or grown ups for that matter ;).
