Reclaiming Wonders
A hand is holding an open hardcover graphic novel titled 'Hazardous Tales' by Nathan Hale. The book cover features an illustration of a soldier wearing a gas mask and helmet, holding a rifle, with barbed wire and flags in the background. The subtitle reads 'Treaties, Trenches, Mud, and Blood,' indicating that the book is about World War I. The image seems to be set outdoors, with a grassy area visible in the background.

World War I Graphic Novel Gets Kids Reading

Hard to get your boy to read? You’re welcome ;) . . I asked about this series at a bookstore and she had no idea what I was taking about. Our own library doesn’t have but one in the series, and we’re having to wait to get from other towns. . . They’re graphic novels and each one covers a different historical event. This one was WW1 and each country is represented in battle with a different animal. He said, “No wonder they called it a world war!” ;). If it’s good enough to get my boy to read, it’s worth it.
