Reclaiming Wonders
A snowy, wooded landscape captured in a serene and tranquil scene. In the foreground, a small child bundled up in a vibrant pink coat and hat is playfully trudging through the freshly fallen snow, leaving a trail of footprints behind. The child's path leads towards a black SUV parked in the distance, surrounded by bare, towering trees blanketed in a dusting of white. The scene exudes a sense of peace and wonder, inviting the viewer to imagine the joy of exploring nature's winter wonderland.

Winter Nature Walk

That is called mischief right there. The kid who lasted the longest in the sleet-snow that was promised in the forecast. The reason we kept our outing to the morning only. Harriman State Park is about fifteen minutes away so we set it to explore this morning. A nature walk in 45 degree weather. Looking for scat (aka poop) and footprints is a lot more fun in this area than at home in the park. We identified some signs of elk, bison, and maybe a bobcat. Then we had a cozy afternoon. Hoping to venture out tomorrow but all is spontaneous at this time... much to the kids annoyance.
