The Reality of Backpacking: It's Hard but Worth It
What no one tells you about backpacking…
It’s hard. Its stinky. Its emotional.
And it’s a pretty expensive “hobby” where you suffer for fun?!🥾🏕️🎒
But it’s worth it.
Here’s to making strong moms!
There are more of us out there adventuring than just the…
✋Super-fit 20-somethings with Lake Louise in the background or
✋AT through hikers who have months to hike or
✋Just the men! (I feel we see more ladies everytime we go!)
If I can hike 20 miles up and down mountains in a weekend for fun…
You can hike or backpack or walk around your neighborhood or bike or whatever…
That first step is the hardest… but the 20,000th can sometimes stink too. 😁
👉You can do hard things.
👏🏻But let’s keep it real for everyone so we don’t think it requires a certain “qualification” to even try.
Remember…
Your three days of hiking is more like a week by the time you unpack and get back you leg strength. As in, I’ve been home four days and my calves are still screaming. Allow yourself enough time. For all of it!
But as I said.
Worth it. 🥳
👉Share this with your friend who needs a push.
👉And surround yourself with awesome people who aren’t afraid to push you to do the hard things.

❤️Bobbie - the vulnerable, stinky, sore, homeschooling backpacker who will go on a weekend hike again… and complain a lot of the time. 🤪
@jessica.alimena Thanks for being my pushy friend and cheerleader. I wouldn’t even try without you. 😘
