Free math curriculum? Dice. Cards. Dry erase board. And a willingness to see that math is not just worksheets. That’s all you need. . Reminder. Elementary math doesn’t need fancy curriculum - and games are the best way to practice thinking math. You have the ability to teach your kid to do basic math… and if you’ve forgotten a step, look it up! Once it does get “beyond you”, get a curriculum, but give it a shot in those early years. . In Essentials yesterday, I introduced Number Knockout bingo. Pick numbers. Solve them. Today, she made her own board on her own. Such a great reminder to me of why class lessons should be simple so families can reproduce them at home easily! . Check out number knockout if you haven’t found it. So simple. So fun. And such a great way to practice “doing math”!
