Reclaiming Wonders
A young boy standing on the shore of a tranquil lake or pond surrounded by a forest of bare trees. The boy, wearing a blue jacket and pants, is observing several geese swimming and wading in the shallow waters near the shoreline. The scene appears to be in late autumn or early spring, with the trees devoid of leaves and the waters reflecting the cloudy sky. The image conveys a serene and peaceful atmosphere, with the boy seeming to appreciate the natural beauty and wildlife around him.

Teachable Moment

Parenting. Truth bomb. . . I sat down to morning time the other day in a mood. The kind where you really just want to give up and go sit in your room. Send me to time out. I probably need to be there ALL morning ;) . They had been whining. Blaming each other. No one was responsible for their own problems. And I had just stated (strongly!) that we aren’t going to play the victims. Be in charge of ourselves and don’t blame others for how we act or feel. . . Then I said, “I don’t even want to do this. You guys are making me angry.” Then... She said, “You just said not to blame others. Now you’re acting like the victim.” . . Watch what you teach moms... Sometimes they actually do listen.
