Relaxed Homeschooling Morning

Keepin’ it real. You don’t need a homeschool space or special desk set up or the school posters on the wall or all the “school” gadgets. Simple. And, often, messy ;) . . Morning time in the living room today. Hymns being sung. History read. Anatomy drawings discussed. Gettysburg address sung along with our new recording. John 1 recited. Double double, toil and trouble chanted on repeat. And ended with a loud 7th grader singing South American capitals to a Les Mis song... ;) . . One kid playing Legos. One coloring a map. One following along. One playing with his cube and singing. A dog in the middle. Papers all over the table. . . But we did it. And they’ve been singing the hymns since. It doesn’t take a lot, but it all counts.
